A website should do a job, not just look good

Most business owners do not need a website for its own sake. They need more enquiries, fewer phone calls asking the same questions, a catalogue customers can browse at night, or a portal where partners can check an order. Our web development work starts from that job. Before anyone writes code, we agree what the site must achieve and how you will know it is working.

ZAS TECH builds websites and web applications from our managed offices in Islamabad. The same team that plans the project also designs, develops and supports it, so there is no hand-off between agencies and no one forgets what was promised in the first meeting.

What we build

  • Company websites that explain what you do, who you serve and how to reach you, with pages you can update yourself.
  • E-commerce stores with product listings, cart, checkout and order notifications set up for the way you actually sell.
  • Web applications and portals such as booking tools, customer dashboards, internal request systems or supplier portals.
  • Landing pages for campaigns, product launches or recruitment drives, built to load quickly and capture leads.
  • Rebuilds of ageing sites where the content is worth keeping but the code, speed or security is holding you back.

CMS website or custom build?

This is often the first real decision, and the right answer depends on what you need to change and how often.

OptionSuitsTrade-off
CMS websiteContent-led sites that staff update regularlyLess freedom for unusual features
E-commerce platformShops with a standard catalogue and checkoutPlatform rules shape some workflows
Custom web applicationUnique processes, logins, dashboards and dataMore planning and testing up front
HybridA CMS front end with custom tools behind itTwo parts to maintain, so documentation matters

We explain the options in plain language and recommend one. You make the call with the costs and limits in front of you.

How we keep projects on track

Every project gets a written scope, a sitemap and a list of features before development begins. You review designs before they are built, and you see working pages on a staging site while the project is in progress, not only at the end. Changes are logged so both sides know what was agreed.

We also pay attention to the things that are easy to skip: page speed on mobile networks, basic on-page SEO, accessible forms and headings, secure hosting settings, backups and analytics. If you want help with the words on the page, our web content writing team can write or edit them alongside the build. For layouts and user journeys that need more thought, we can bring in UI/UX design first.

Examples of our work

Our portfolio page lists websites built for ABT Europe, Meist.sa, ABT Logistics, SN Trading Mart and SN Trading. You can see our portfolio for details.

Timeline

How a website project runs

  1. 1

Discovery and scopeShort, depends on how clear the brief is

We learn about your business, audience and goals, then write a scope covering pages, features, integrations and responsibilities.

  2. 2

Sitemap and wireframesEarly in the project

We map out every page and sketch the layouts so structure and user journeys are agreed before visual design starts.

  3. 3

Visual designVaries with the number of templates

Key pages are designed in your brand style. You review and request changes before anything is built.

  4. 4

DevelopmentThe longest phase for most projects

We build the site on a staging server, add content, connect forms and integrations, and share progress as it is ready.

  5. 5

    Testing and launchBefore go-live

We check browsers, devices, speed, forms and security settings, then move the site live and set up analytics.

  6. 6

Support and improvementOngoing, if you choose

After launch we can handle updates, backups, fixes and new features so the site keeps pace with your business.

FAQ

Web Development: common questions

How much does a business website cost?

It depends on the number of pages, the features you need and whether we use a CMS or build something custom. A simple company site and a web application with logins and dashboards are very different projects. After a short discussion we send a written proposal with the scope and price, so you can compare options before committing to anything.

Can I update the website myself after launch?

Yes, in most cases. We usually set up a content management system or a custom admin panel so your staff can edit text, images, products and blog posts. We show you how it works at handover and provide short written notes. If you would rather not manage it yourself, we can also handle updates for you on an ongoing basis.

Do you work with clients outside Pakistan?

Yes. Our team is based in Islamabad and we work with clients in Pakistan and internationally, including the Gulf and the UK. Meetings take place by video call, and we share designs and staging links online so you can review progress from anywhere. We agree communication times at the start so time zones do not slow the project down.

Will my new website be mobile-friendly and fast?

Mobile layouts are part of every build, not an extra. We design for small screens first, compress images, keep code lean and test on real devices and slower connections before launch. Speed also depends on hosting and on the content you add later, so we give practical guidance on keeping pages light as the site grows.

Can you rebuild my existing website without losing search rankings?

We plan rebuilds carefully to protect what already works. That typically means keeping valuable content, mapping old URLs to new ones with redirects, preserving page titles where sensible and checking for broken links after launch. Rankings can still move during any migration, but a careful redirect plan reduces the risk considerably compared with simply replacing the old site.

Who owns the website and code when the project is finished?

Ownership terms are written into the agreement before work starts. Typically, once the project is paid for, you receive the admin logins, hosting access and the files for your site. Some third-party themes, plugins or services carry their own licences, and we tell you about these during planning so there are no surprises later.
