Customised ERP Solutions Shaped Around Your Business Processes

We adapt and extend ERP software to match how your business really runs, with custom modules, workflows, reports and integrations built by our Islamabad team.

Fit-gap

We start with how you work

Looking for a ready-made system? See our own ZAS ERP product.

  1. Step 1

    Map current processes

We document how work actually flows today, from enquiry to cash and from purchase to stock, including the spreadsheets and workarounds.

  2. Step 2

    Compare with the standard system

Each process is checked against what the ERP does out of the box, and marked as a fit, a partial fit or a gap.

  3. Step 3

Decide how to close each gap

For every gap we choose between configuration, a process change on your side, customisation or a new module, and agree priorities.

  4. Step 4

    Build and test in stages

Customisations are developed in a test environment and checked by your key users with real scenarios before anything goes live.

  5. Step 5

    Migrate, train and go live

Data is moved and reconciled, users are trained by role and the system goes live with our team on hand for early support.

  6. Step 6

    Review and refine

After a period of real use, we review what is working and plan any further adjustments as small, controlled changes.

Your processes are not a template

Every ERP system arrives with assumptions about how a business works: how orders are approved, how stock moves, how invoices are numbered, who signs off on a payment. When those assumptions match yours, the software helps. When they do not, staff fall back on spreadsheets, emails and workarounds, and the ERP becomes a record of what already happened rather than the tool that runs the day.

Customised ERP solutions close that gap. Our team in Islamabad adapts an ERP so that it follows your processes, your approvals and your reporting needs, instead of asking your people to change everything to suit the software.

How this differs from ZAS ERP

ZAS ERP is our own ERP product, with ready modules for Financial and Reporting, Operations, People and Resources, and Security and Accessibility. Many businesses can use it largely as it comes, with standard setup and configuration.

This service is for the cases where standard setup is not enough. It covers work such as:

  • Adding a module for a process the product does not cover, such as a specialist job-costing or indenting workflow.
  • Changing approval chains, document formats or numbering rules to match your policies.
  • Building reports and dashboards around the figures your management actually reviews.
  • Connecting the ERP to the other systems your business already relies on.

The customisation can be built on ZAS ERP, or, after an assessment, on an ERP you already run where we have the access and the technical means to extend it.

Configure, customise or build: choosing the right level

LevelWhat it meansWhen it fits
ConfigureUse built-in settings: users, roles, tax rules, templates.Your processes are close to standard practice.
CustomiseChange or add workflows, fields, reports and screens. Most of the system fits, but key processes differ.
ExtendBuild new modules and integrations around the core.A process is unique to your business or industry.

We always try the lightest level first. Every customisation has to be maintained through future updates, so we only build what earns its place.

Keeping customisations maintainable

Poorly built changes can lock a business onto an old version of its ERP. We keep custom work separate from the core where possible, document each change, and test it against updates. You receive a register of what was customised, why, and how it works.

Data migration and go-live

Moving to a customised ERP usually means bringing across customers, suppliers, items, opening balances and open transactions. We map and clean this data with your team, run trial imports, and reconcile the results before the live switch. Training is given by role, so each person learns the screens they will use.

If your current ERP feels like it is working against you, contact our team and describe the processes that cause the most friction. We will suggest a practical starting point.

Integrations

Connected to the rest of your business

Your ERP
  • Payment gateways for online and card payments
  • Accounting and tax exports in agreed file formats
  • E-commerce stores for orders, stock and pricing sync
  • Email and SMS notifications for approvals and alerts
  • Bank statement imports for reconciliation
  • Spreadsheet imports and exports for bulk data
  • Attendance and biometric devices for HR records
  • Barcode and label printing for stock movement
  • Courier and delivery tracking updates
  • Customer and supplier portals
  • Reporting and business intelligence tools via data exports or APIs

Benefits

What you get

  • Fewer side spreadsheets

When the ERP handles your real approvals and calculations, the shadow spreadsheets that staff keep on the side can be retired, along with the errors they cause.

  • Reports that answer real questions

Custom reports and dashboards are built around the figures your management reviews each week, rather than generic reports that need reworking by hand.

  • Controls that match your policies

Approval limits, user roles and audit trails can be set to follow your internal policies, so the system enforces them instead of relying on memory.

  • Room to grow

Customisations are documented and kept separate from the core where possible, so the system can be updated and extended as the business changes.

FAQ

Customised ERP Solutions: common questions

Should we customise our ERP or change our processes?

Often a mix of both. If a process exists only because of an old system or a habit, adopting the standard ERP approach may be simpler and cheaper. If the process gives you a real advantage, or is required by your industry or customers, it is worth customising the system to support it. The fit-gap review is where we make these calls together, one process at a time.

Is this the same as buying ZAS ERP?

No. ZAS ERP is our ready-made product, which many businesses can use with standard setup. Customised ERP solutions is the service of adapting and extending an ERP so it fits processes the standard product does not cover. You might start with ZAS ERP and add customisations later, or start with a review of the system you already use.

Can you customise an ERP we already have?

Possibly. It depends on the system, the access you have to it, its licence terms and whether it offers a way to extend it, such as an API or a development framework. We begin with an assessment and tell you plainly whether customising your current system is realistic, or whether moving to a different platform would be more practical in the long term.

Will customisations break when the ERP is updated?

That risk is the main reason we are careful about how changes are made. Where possible, custom work is kept separate from the core code and uses supported extension points. Each change is documented and tested against updates in a test environment before they reach your live system. Heavily modified core code is avoided unless there is no other way.

Which integrations can you build?

Common examples include payment gateways, accounting exports, e-commerce stores, bank statement imports and email or SMS notifications. Whether a specific integration is possible depends on the other system offering a usable API, file export or import method. We check this during the assessment and confirm what can be connected, and how, before the work is scheduled.

How is our data moved into the customised system?

We agree what needs to move, such as masters, opening balances and open transactions, then map old fields to new ones. Your team helps clean the data, and we run trial imports in a test environment. Totals and samples are reconciled with your finance team before go-live, so everyone is confident the starting figures are right.

Do you provide support after go-live?

Yes, support can continue after launch. That typically covers fixing issues, answering user questions, adjusting reports and planning further changes as your business develops. We recommend agreeing a simple process for change requests, so new ideas are reviewed and prioritised rather than added piecemeal, which keeps the system stable.
