About this policy

This policy explains what personal information the ZAS TECH website at https://www.zastech.co collects, why it is collected, how long it is kept and what choices you have. It covers the website only. If you become a client, the way we handle information as part of a service is set out in the agreement or quotation for that service.

In this policy, "ZAS TECH", "we", "us" and "our" mean ZAS TECH, Plot No. 367, Street No. 05, Sector I-9/3, Islamabad, Pakistan. ZAS TECH is responsible for the personal information described here.

Information you give us

Contact form

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we receive:

• your name;

• your email address;

• your phone number, if you choose to add it;

• your company name, if you choose to add it;

• the service you selected;

• your message; and

• a record that you ticked the privacy-consent box.

Your submission is stored in the website database, which runs on a server operated for ZAS TECH. An email notification about it may also be sent to ZAS TECH staff through an email (SMTP) provider.

Live chat

The chat widget on the website stores the messages you type into it. If you choose "talk to a human", we ask for your name and email address so that ZAS TECH staff can read the conversation and reply to you. If no one is available at the time, the conversation is saved as an enquiry so that we can follow it up.

Please do not share sensitive details, such as passwords or payment card numbers, through the contact form or the chat.

Information collected automatically

When you use the website, our server processes your IP address and your browser's user-agent string (a short text that identifies the browser and device type). We use this for:

• rate limiting, so that the site and its forms cannot be flooded with requests;

• spam prevention; and

• security logs, which help us investigate misuse or technical problems.

Our forms also contain a hidden "honeypot" field. People do not see it, but automated bots often fill it in, which lets us filter out bot submissions.

How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

• reply to your enquiry or chat message;

• provide the service you asked about, or prepare a quotation for it;

• keep the website secure and protect it against spam and abuse.

We do not sell personal data. We do not make decisions about you using purely automated means, including profiling, that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Legal bases for processing

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, data-protection law asks us to explain the basis on which we use your information:

• Steps before a contract, or a contract: when you ask about or request a service, we use your details to respond and to provide it.

• Legitimate interests: we have a legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, keeping the website secure and preventing spam and abuse.

• Consent: where we rely on your consent, such as the privacy-consent box on the contact form, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Cookies and local storage

The website uses only a small number of storage items, all of which are needed for the site to work or to remember a choice you made:

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy, and any consent banner, before such cookies are introduced.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. If you clear the chat identifier, a new chat will start the next time you open the widget.

Google Maps on the contact page

The contact page can show a Google Map of our office. The map is not loaded automatically. It loads only after you click to show it. Once it loads, Google may receive information such as your IP address and browser details, and Google handles that information under its own privacy policy. If you do not want this, you can leave the map unloaded and use the written address instead.

Who can see your information

Your information is available to ZAS TECH staff who need it to answer enquiries, provide services or run the website. It is also handled by the providers that support the website on our behalf:

• the provider that hosts the server and database used by the website; and

• the email (SMTP) provider that delivers notification emails to our staff.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is reasonably needed to protect our rights, our users or the security of the website.

International transfers

ZAS TECH is based in Pakistan and works with clients in Pakistan and other countries. Your information may therefore be processed in Pakistan and in any country where our hosting or email provider operates. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live. Where UK or EU law applies to a transfer, we will take the steps that law requires.

How long we keep information

• Contact enquiries and chat enquiries: kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless an ongoing business relationship means we need to keep them longer.

• Security logs: kept for a short period, up to 90 days.

• Admin session cookie: expires within 7 days.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Note: these retention periods are pending confirmation by ZAS TECH.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including rate limiting, spam filtering, security logging and restricting the admin area to signed-in staff. No website or online system can be made completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us over the internet.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;

• correct information that is wrong or incomplete;

• delete your information;

• stop using your information for a particular purpose (objection); or

• limit how we use your information while a question about it is resolved (restriction).

To make a request, email info@zastech.co. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it. Some rights depend on where you live and may be subject to legal limits.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you may have rights under the UK GDPR or the GDPR, and you can complain to your local data-protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first, so please contact us before you do.

Children

The website is meant for businesses and adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when the website changes. The "last updated" date on this page shows when the current version was published.
